Ophthalmic Physician Assistant
At Denver Eye Surgeons, we’re committed to providing exceptional surgical care through a team of experienced and compassionate providers. We’re excited to welcome Samantha Jones, PA-C, to our team as our new Physician Assistant.
A Colorado native, Samantha brings a unique combination of surgical expertise, ophthalmic research experience, and a patient-first approach to every interaction. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Metropolitan State University of Denver before working in surgical research at the University of Colorado. During that time, she contributed to a variety of ophthalmology studies focused on advancing treatments for glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
She went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she completed a specialized track in Pediatric Critical and Acute Care. Samantha is a board-certified Physician Assistant and an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Prior to joining Denver Eye Surgeons, Samantha spent six years working in Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU). Her experience assisting in complex surgical procedures and providing perioperative care strengthened her passion for helping patients through every stage of their surgical journey.
Now, she’s excited to return to ophthalmology, combining her background in surgical research with her love of hands-on patient care. As a Physician Assistant at Denver Eye Surgeons, Samantha works closely with our surgeons to help ensure every procedure is performed with the highest level of precision, safety, and compassionate care.

Although Samantha was born in Sydney, Australia, she grew up in Littleton, Colorado and is proud to serve the community she calls home. When she’s not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their Yorkie, Pollo, creating pottery in her home studio, and exploring Colorado’s mountains and trails.
We’re thrilled to have Samantha on our team and know our patients will appreciate the expertise, compassion, and dedication she brings to every surgical experience.
